Reconnecting living systems in Urban spaces through collaborative design strategies to overcome fragmentation between people and the places they live
Building local economies in cities around the needs of communities using interventions that transition, transform, and impact change toward the natural dynamics of living systems
At Diamond Heart Enterprise, my values encompass localization, participatory community development, and participatory planning, as I believe in empowering communities to shape their own future. I am committed to historic restoration and preservation, place-keeping, and resolving conflicts through restorative justice principles. My approach embraces asset-based organizing, cultural preservation, and visualization, while I advocate for social justice and equity.
Drawing from indigenous wisdom, I foster network development and prioritize community voice in every endeavor. Rooted in depth psychology, critical community psychology, ecopsychology, and indigenous psychology, I embrace liberation psychology to promote empowerment. I believe in appropriate technology that prioritizes the social aspect of technology, where small is beautiful and cooperation and collaboration are key.
My approach is co-produced, distributed, generative, co-managed, co-developed, adaptive, and place-based, following an iterative approach and embracing the co-city concept. Transparency, co-governance, and polycentric networks are fundamental aspects of my work, as I prioritize capacity building and co-production in every project I undertake.
Diamond Heart Enterprises Develops a Theory of Change around any given project. This theory is a rigorous yet participatory process whereby groups and project stakeholders identify the conditions they believe have to unfold for their long-term goals to be met. These conditions are modeled as outcomes, arranged graphically in a causal framework.
